Franconia Minerals Corporation (TSX: FRA), an Alberta-formed corporation with its head office in Spokane, Washington, is focused on the discovery and development of base metals and platinum group metals (PGM) projects in the continental U.S.A. Franconia's most advanced property is the Birch Lake copper-nickel-platinum-palladium project in the highly prospective Duluth complex in north eastern Minnesota. The recently updated NI 43-101 report estimates an Indicated Resource of 108.2 million tonnes plus an Inferred Resources of 87.3 million tonnes for the Birch Lake deposit. The deposit is deeply underground, minimizing the surface foot print. Mine wastes placed underground would further minimize surface impacts.Additional resources at Birch Lake include 83 million tonnes inferred resources at the Maturi deposit and 124 million tonnes Inferred resources at the Spruce Road project.
